From January 20 to 24, the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights hosted and participated in two workshops organized under the Sphinx Initiative in the framework of the EU CT-JUST project.
The workshops brought together senior representatives from relevant national institutions in Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Morocco, Mauritania, and Libya to address the critical challenge of reconciling special investigative techniques with defence rights.
The discussions constituted a key step towards the drafting of a white paper on the judicialisation of intelligence, encompassing practices across twenty countries.
Participants explored innovative approaches at the intersection of legal principles and operational strategies.
The Siracusa International Institute remains committed to fostering international dialogue and supporting efforts to balance justice and security in an increasingly complex world.
