Fifth Specialisation Course for Prosecutors on International Criminal Justice and International Cooperation in Criminal Matters

UPDATE OF MARCH 11, 2020

In light of the recent measures taken by the Italian Government to fight against the COVID-19 outbreak, the Institute is postponing all specialization courses that were scheduled to take place between April and July 2020.

The new dates for the 2020 course are: October 26- November 4, 2020

Online registration will open in May 2020 TBC. Further information will be provided over the next few weeks, on the Institute’s website and social media pages.

The Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights (Siracusa Institute) and the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) are co-organising the 5th Specialization Course for Prosecutors on International Criminal Justice, Transnational Crime and International Cooperation in Criminal Matters.

This course is specially designed for prosecutors to gain expertise from leading legal experts in matters relating to the investigation and prosecution of core international crimes such as war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide as well as transnational crimes including, among others, environmental crime, human trafficking and crimes involving new technologies. The course is also designed to provide participants with a solid foundation and expert insights into international legal cooperation frameworks and methods. In its practice-oriented approach to those topics, the course includes interactive lectures, and workshops and practical exercises.

Registration will open in May 2020 (TBC).
