The governing body of the Institute is an independent Board of Directors comprised of 21 members. The President of the Institute is assisted by two Vice Presidents and by a Secretary General, as well as by an Advisory Board, whose members are selected among recognized international personalities, to liaise with supranational, national and international organizations.

The Regional Scientific Committee is an internal body whose task is to promote and coordinate scientific conferences, seminars, pilot projects and studies in Sicily.

The Siracusa International Institute’s finances are supervised by an external independent Auditor, whose annual report is reviewed by the public auditors of the Region of Sicily, a funding entity of the Institute. This elaborate procedure is intended to ensure the maximum financial integrity and transparency of the Institute.
